Description
The National Center for Manufacturing Sciences is a national nonprofit cross-industry technology development consortium, founded in 1986 and headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It connects industry, government, and academic members to develop, demonstrate, and transition advanced manufacturing technologies, and offers contracting vehicles that streamline access to federal and defense R&D opportunities. For an advanced-manufacturing or dual-use startup it is a route into collaborative R&D projects and the government-sales pipeline with lower cost and risk.
